IPSec Protocols

Secured IP (Internet Protocol), typically uses UDP (User Diagram Protocol) rather than TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) like how it was used for IP (Internet Protocol) to bypass Networking/Firewall

It sends additional Headers and Trailers contains Authentication and encryption information and what to do with them.

IPSec is a group of protocol that perform in Network Layer. Some of them includes:

• AH (Authentication Header Protocol)
• ESP (Encapsulating Security Payload)
• IKE (Internet key exchange)

Mode

• Tunnel: Encrypt everything all data goes through
• Transport: Only encrypt the current packet
