Technology that uses laser to increase the bandwidth of existing fiber optics using a single color of light (wavelength)

Traditionally, it used white light (multiple color). Therefore 1 fiber can only afford to have 1 laser.

With DWDM, 80+ different wavelengths can be carried through a single fiber
