DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)

Lies in the Application Layer but uses UDP (User Diagram Protocol) in Transport Layer

DHCP assign IPs and other network configurations to the device which enables them to communicate over network to communicate over DNS (Domain Name System) Protocol

Uses port 67 by default.
