FIB (Forwarding Information Base)

Commonly used in Network Bridge, Routing, etc to find out which is the the destination one should forward packet to.

It's basically a table that map MAC addresses to switch ports. (Each computer will connect to the switch via a switch port)

MAC aging is default 300 seconds, after this time, the MAC address will be removed if no future frames use it. This is necessary because the mac address table has limited space
